Upcoming Cars In Nepal 2021: Renault Kiger

As the country slowly comes out of the second-wave tragedy of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Nepalese auto industry looks hopeful to get back on its feet, as soon as the current lockdown eases. As everything is slowly coming back to normal, a majority of companies are working to bring a lot of new products post-lockdown. Joining suit is Renault Nepal with the much-awaited sub-4m Kiger compact SUV.Renault Nepal will launch the Kiger compact SUV right after the current lockdown eases. The Kiger starts at INR 5.64 Lakh in the Indian market and it is available in four trims, 24 variants,  2 engine options and 3​ gearbox options, in the Indian market. According to our sources the Kiger will start from Rs 28.49 Lakh in the Nepalese market, which will make it Rs 1,00,000 cheaper than its sibling, the Nissan Magnite. The Kiger stands out with its sculpted bonnet, slender windscreen, and semi-floating roof with a roof rack. At the rear, the roof drop is topped by a spoiler, giving the vehicle a very airy look. At the rear, the Kiger gets a split C-shaped tail lamp. The vehicle also gets functional roof rails, 16-inch alloy wheels, black cladding on the sides, and 205-mm ground clearance.Highlights of the Kiger include an 8.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 7.0-inch digital instrument display, push-button start, keyless entry, ambient lighting, and auto climate control, etc. The Kiger also gets three drive modes. You can choose between Eco, Normal and Sport. On the safety front, the Kiger gets up to four airbags, a rear-view camera, and parking sensors.The Renault Kiger will probably be available in two petrol engines: 71.01 BHP/96Nm 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and 98.63 BHP/160Nm 1.0-litre turbo-petrol units. It will be offered with a standard 5-speed manual gearbox and there's also the probability of an AMT gearbox for the naturally aspirated engine.  Safety duties are handled by up to four airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensorsThe Kiger rivals the likes of Nissan Magnite, Hyundai VenueKia Sonet, Tata Nexon,Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport.
